Ralph Allen made his fortune reorganising the postal service in Bath in the mid 1700’s. We used this as the premise for the creative direction for this interpretation project. Time was spent researching postal graphic motfis of the period in the postal museum and we created a ‘look and feel’ which referenced the part the service played in Allen’s life, thus providing historical insights. Ice House Design, concepted, designed and built several permanent structures within the landscape garden, we also designed an iron work structure to follow the contours of what once was a gothic temple. Maximum impact, minimum means. This projected launched at Easter 2013.
