Redmaids' High School

Excellence, unity
and progressiveness

The people in Bristol for many generations have revered The Red Maids' School – the oldest girls' school in the country. And, Redland High School seen as a bastion of brilliant education for girls, also a top all girls school. Both with their own character and ethos. When these two prestigious schools came together, we were asked to create their new brand. Three months of workshops, interviews and group sessions followed. Getting under the skin of both institutions. We commissioned and art directed new photography, created advertising, designed and produced print and digital communications, reviewed the school uniform, ultimately creating a unifying brand identity expressing both histories and new vision.

Head of Marketing and Development

'Working with Ice House Design has been a pleasure. We chose them for our full re-brand and the service we have received from them has been excellent throughout. They made sure to gain a real understanding of our school at a critical time in our history as were merging two schools together. They helped us to present our new identity in a way that holds on to our heritage whilst demonstrating our new path and direction. They have been flexible, accessible and friendly and most importantly, they have provided us with a new brand that we love, that has been well received and that really encapsulates our personality and values.'
